The Gospel of Jesus in ONE Verse
John 3:16 is the most popular verse in the entire Bible. It is the Gospel of Jesus Christ in one sentence. It is the greatest verse of all time, expressing the greatest love of all time, while also giving us the greatest implications of all time. It is the most transformative, life-changing verse in all of scripture.
There are many great verses in the Bible, but the gospel message of Jesus in one sentence says it all.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - JOHN 3:16
Jesus says these words in John 3 in response to a man named Nicodemus who was curious about the wonders and signs of Jesus. A great dialogue takes place when Jesus teaches Nicodemus about being born again and experiencing eternal life.

"FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD..."
The same world that turned their back on Him. The same world that consistently denies Him and has become increasingly hostile to Him.
Yes, God so loved this same world... because He is greater than us.
I don't know if I could love that world. Could you?
My love doesn't go that far...
My love doesn't extend that far...
My love is limited... but we find here that His love is unlimited.
"...THAT HE GAVE HIS ONE AND ONLY SON..."
How do I know that God loves me?
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his lifefor his friends" - John 15:13
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8
"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us." - 1 John 3:16
We know what love is because Christ showed us true, unconditional love for us by laying his life down for us. We know that God loves us because he demonstrated his love for us in this way. There is no greater love that can be displayed than one who lays down their life on behalf of another person.
This is how we know that God loves us.
"...THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE."..."
John 3:16 explicitly implies that to receive eternal life, we must believe in Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God.
In Scripture, Jesus and eternal life are always beautifully described together and are inseparable from one another.
"In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind." - John 1:4
"Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." - John 14:6
If you would like to receive eternal life in Jesus Christ. Pray this prayer.
"Father, it is written in Your Word that if I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that You have raised Him from the dead, I shall be saved.
Therefore, Father, I confess that Jesus is my Lord. I make Him Lord of my life right now. I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead. I renounce my past life with Satan and close the door to any of his devices.
I thank You for forgiving me of all my sin. Jesus is my Lord, and I am a new creation. Old things have passed away; now all things become new in Jesus’ name. Amen."
